All of us know the importance of weight on our physical health but we also need to think of our mental health too! Located in Lake City, Florida Our VitaLife Fitness Gathering begins at 11:00 am and runs until 4 pm! Hosted by VitaLife Fitness and the Joye's, you will want to bring your iPod Nano and Nike Plus link to log in some walking as well as opportunities to learn more about the Leap Forward Program! We will also be able to give some advice for iPod usage tips!
Who's Your Buddy Challenge - SIGNUP HERE - Rules and Competition
Submitted by admin on Mon, 06/02/2008 - 2:16pm.Our June Challenge is called Who's Your Buddy, and it's going to be a crazy, fun challenge designed to help you meet new people and also get fit. Once you sign up, we'll assign buddies, but we won't tell you who your buddy is. You'll have to find your buddy first based on the clues we send you. Then, once paired up, you'll each need to exercise at leat twice a week (20 min minimum) to keep from getting booted out. (Don't let your Buddy Down). We'll have lots of fun ways for you to work togehter with your buddy to earn points.

Fitness News - Healthy Eating and Consistent Exercise

In addition to healthy eating, exercise is a must for weight management. Studies have shown that the amount of food taken in must be equal to the amount of energy expelled or weight gain will occur.

Race Begins: Saturday, December 13th
Race Fun Call: December 15th on our Monday Night Teamwide Webinar
We are having a Personal Best Contest called the December Dash. On December 13th, we will have our 2nd Annual One Mile Holiday Fun Run/Walk. The race begins anytime on Saturday. Since this is such a busy season this year (and we have less weekends between Thanksgiving and Christmas) we will not be having a phone call on Saturday. We WILL be celebrating on our Monday night team wde webinar the 15th.

A surprise in my old draft card
Submitted by OTBM on Mon, 10/13/2008 - 9:44pm.Over the weekend I was poking through the knee-hole drawer of my desk and turned up my Selective Service Draft registration card. The date on the very worn card (required to carry for life(?) I guess) was August 5, 1954, the day I turned 18. No picture, but my physical description included hair (sigh!) color (then "dark brown"), eye color, etc. One item caught my attention - weight.
Exercise For People Over 50
Submitted by Marilyn Parker on Wed, 09/10/2008 - 10:34am.Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side. With a 5-lb. potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax. Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer. After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb. potato sacks. Then try 50-lb potato sacks and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than 1 full minute.

The ropes course was new for me and most of the other participants. But now that we’re done, I’ve got to say I can’t wait to go again!

An Olympian you have never heard of....

Around World Series time, the sun in left field at Yankee Stadium would get awful tough. It wasn't so bad during the season, but in October it would just hang there in your eyes when you were trying to follow a fly ball. And what was true for the sun field in the Bronx is also true for everybody when it comes to their bodies and their health: You can get old pretty young if you don't take care of yourself.
Height vs. WAIST
